East Yellowstone, in Wapiti Valley, WY, is located just outside the East entrance to Yellowstone Park and it home to many family-owned lodges, guest and dude ranches known collectively as The Lodges of East Yellowstone. Nestled among towering pines and sparkling mountain streams, you can stay a day, a night or a week. Each lodge offers guests a warm western welcome. From large families to couples, from young to old, all can enjoy our rustic lodges, log cabins accommodations, lodging amenities, wilderness horseback adventures and more!

Home to a diverse array of wildlife, this high country has large numbers of deer, elk, buffalo, bighorn sheep, black bear, grizzly bear and many native birds. Wildflowers are even greater in numbers. All wildlife, plant, and environmental information can be learned at one of our U.S. Forest Service Interpretation Seminars given at various lodges.

As the horses are put out to winter pasture and snow fills the sky, out comes the skis, snow machines and snow coaches, all available for rent. Skiers can enjoy downhill and cross country with over 25K of groomed tracks and endless miles of forest service trails through the wilderness. Snowmobilers can enjoy miles of unlimited trails in and around Yellowstone Park.

East Yellowstone is nestled between Yellowstone National Park and Cody, WY. Yellowstone is the world's first national park in the United States, containing more than two million acres of steaming geysers, crystalline lakes, grand waterfalls and unforgettable vistas. Cody, Wyoming was founded in the late 1800's by the world famous scout, hunter, trapper, gunman and showman Col. William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Still rich in history and authentic western atmosphere, Cody offers specialty shops, art galleries, dining and authentic apparel. Our convenient East Yellowstone location offers the "best of the best" in:

  • home cooked meals, chuckwagon BBQ's & campfires

  • comfortable cabin accommodations

  • authentic Old West atmosphere

  • hiking,fishing & rafting

  • wildlife photography

  • snowmobiling & skiing

  • rodeos & other cowboy adventures

Any one of our lodges can be your vacation "home base." From here you can spend the day horseback riding, fishing, touring Yellowstone or Cody and return back to a home cooked meal, campfire, and relaxed surroundings under a bright canopy of stars.

Our lodges, known to many world travelers such as the Prince of Monaco & Teddy Roosevelt, are rich in their own individual history.

Wyoming natives will always say "you can't see Wyoming from the road" so folks, "lets ride!" Ride the trails of early mountain men like Jim Bridger and John Colter. Our horseback adventures are geared to the young and old, from novice to the experienced. In East Yellowstone we offer:

  • 1 hour to all day rides

  • cookout rides and overnights

  • fishing and packtrips
