Morning Creek Outfitters

10 Creek Lane • Cody, WY 82414

Do you like to horseback ride?… fish?… spend time in a wilderness that is comparable to nothing else in the world?  Or maybe you like to take pictures or just look and appreciate nature at its finest.  Well John & Lori Porter have the vacation you're looking for.

Morning Creek Outfitting has everything you, your family and friends need to enjoy that trip of a lifetime.  Our trips are a camping, wilderness experience on horseback into some of the most beautiful and remote country you have ever seen.  We supply the food, tents, and all accommodations needed for an enjoyable time.  All we ask is that you bring your personal gear, sleeping bag, fishing gear, license and of course that adventurous spirit that brings us all to these remote areas of the world.  Our pack trips are custom made to your interests, whether it is fishing, relaxing by the fire, hiking, riding, scenery, or enjoying our variety of wild animals.

Morning Creek Outfitters is owned and operated by myself and my wife.  I began my guiding career here in Wyoming with my own father who was an outfitter for 15 years.  I grew up with horses and have good, gentle stock to ensure a pleasurable ride.  I believe that the quality of the hunt is what my clients take home, so I do my best to provide that.  My wife and I love the mountains and would like to share an outdoor experience with you.

Contact me for a listing of my references to discover that I take my job seriously, and that my hunts and trips cannot be be equaled.  Give us the chance to show you an experience you'll remember for a lifetime.

How about a pack trip on your own horses guided by Robin Rick? This is a fantastic opportunity to see some incredible country with your own horses. We will travel trails in the beautiful Shoshone National Forest and North Absaroka Wilderness area on the eastern edge of the Yellowstone Ecosystem. There are hundreds of miles of trails with incredible scenery and far reaching vistas. During the rides there will be an opportunity to see many kinds of wildlife including Elk, Moose, Bighorn Sheep, Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, Wolves, White-tailed and Mule Deer, and maybe even the elusive Mountain Lion. So bring your binoculars, camera, and lots of film. If you hope to get a little fishing in be sure to bring your rod and reel. Come see the Best Part of the Great Rocky Mountains with me. I'm really looking forward to a great trip with you.
