Nestled between two wilderness areas in the heart of America's first National Forest, just yards outside of America's first National park, Pahaska Tepee is truly a unique environment.

Pahaska boasts bountiful wildlife nearby. Yellowstone's spectacular game herds migrate in and out of the protected habitat using game trails that have been active for centuries. From the beginning of white exploration and settlement, Pahaska has been known for its spectacular beauty. In 1913, Bill Cody brought the Prince of Monaco to Pahaska. Going 14 miles into the back country above the main lodge, they established a hunting camp which has been called Camp Monaco ever since.

Pahaska Tepee accommodations range from a comfortable yet seculded mountain cabin to a majestic private reunion lodge with 7 bedrooms, 8 baths and a jacuzzi.

Our guest rooms are housed in 2, 4, and 6 room cabins spread under the spectacular mountains of East Yellowstone Valley. Modern heating systems, private tubs or showers, comfortable beds, knotty pine interiors, our own spring water and spectacular views of our mountain forest will make your stay a memorable experience.

At Pahaska Tepee we take pride in our good food, fast service, and quality atmosphere! Our Lodgepole dining room offers a wide variety at reasonable family prices. The Indian decor, log beams, and picture windows looking out on the surrounding mountain peaks, combine to make dinning with us a special experience.

The Tepee Tavern has full bar service from an antique bar dating back to 1872. We have beer on tap, imported and domestic wine, and package liquors are available. Enjoy cocktails before dinner in the historic Tepee Tavern or warm up with a hot espresso drink after out on the snowy trails.

Our large gift shop encompasses distinctive gifts and Indian jewelry as well as souvenirs for friends back home. Custom designs of Yellowstone souvenirs are our specialty.

Exxon products can be purchased at the gas station as well as ice, sporting goods, and groceries (during the summer season). Clean public restrooms are available for travelers and tours.

From Pahaska Tepee you can embark on a scenic snowmobile trip ride through Yellowstone National Park on over 200 miles of trails. The striking contrast of the crisp winter freshness and the steaming geysers and mineral pools will be a unique view of Yellowstone not soon forgotten. You can also do some cross-country skiing. Glide silently through the snow covered woods on our 20k of x-country ski tracks enjoying the mountain splendor and solitude with wild animals grazing peacefully nearby. The winter wonderland of the wilderness is an incredible experience.

Ask about riverfloats, backpacking and day hikes, overnight or hourly horseback trips, back-country fishing trips, Cody nite Rodeo, Trail Town Museum, and the famous Buffalo Bill Historical Center.

Make Pahaska Tepee you headquarters for a unique vacation. First class accommodations and food, and a variety of activities make this one of the most unforgettable vacation opportunities.
