Cowley

Established in 1901, this little town was named in honor of Mathias F. Cowley, a Mormon apostle. He was an instrumental figure in the building of the Sidon Canal, which irrigates the area’s farmland. In addition to agriculture, Cowley came to depend on natural gas for its livelihood.
