Natrona received it’s name from the natural deposits of trona or carbonate of soda also known as soda ash. Trona is used to manufacture glass containers, fiber-glass, specialty glass, detergents, food additives, and photography, and pH control of water. Trona is one of the most widely used and important commodities in the United States.
