| Named for a UP bridge engineer in 1884, this settlement along the railroad had originally been called Washakie, until confusion with Fort Washakie forced them to change the name. The Hole-in-the-Wall gang once robbed a train nearby. Beautiful turritella agates, derived from ancient shelled invertebrates, can be found in the wild country to the south. |
