This museum houses the David T. Vernon collection of Indian pieces, the most impressive in the park, and one of the finest anywhere in Wyoming. Included in the exhibition are beautifully beaded buckskin dresses, moccasins, masks, kachina dolls, ceremonial pipes, shields, bows, warbonnets, a blanket that belonged to Chief Sitting Bull, and numerous other decorated items. Craft demonstrations are given daily through the summer months.From mid-May to Memorial day, and Labor Day through mid-October, the museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Early June to Labor Day, hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The museum is closed for the rest of the year. Admission is free.
