Deaver Reservoir
State Highway 114 2 miles west of Deaver. (307) 527-2175

The Deaver Reservoir is an equalizing, or regulating, reservoir which serves water to about 1,800 acres on the Frannie Division of the Shoshone Project. For 75 years, the reservoir provided the domestic water supply for the town of Deaver. Water is now transported to Deaver by the nearly 60-mile-long Shoshone Municipal Pipeline, which was constructed in 1991.

In addition to serving as a strategic part of the irrigation system, the Deaver Reservoir today is used as a family recreational area. Fishing, picnicking and bird watching are popular pastimes at this reservoir, which has developed through a cooperative effort of the Deaver Irrigation District, The Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
