Hans Kleiber Museum

The log cabin studio of watercolor artist Hans Kleiber has been preserved for use as a museum and visitors center. Known as the “Artist of the Big Horns”, Kleiber’s work is world renown. Born in Cologne, Italy in 1887, his family moved to Massachusetts in the early 1900s. He later moved West and after various jobs, moved to Dayton and established himself as an artist. The museum contains his press, art books and a number of etchings. The museum is open Monday through Saturday during the summer, closed in winter.
