Alcova Dam & Reservoir
About 30 miles west of Casper on State Highway 220

Alcova Dam, 10 miles downstream from Pathfinder Dam, acts as a diversion structure and creates a reservoirs from which water is diverted into the Casper Canal for irrigating the Kendrick Project lands. The dam is an earth and rockfill embankment structure 265 feet high with a crest length of 763 feet.

Additional lands downstream are irrigated by water released through the Alcova Powerplant at the base of the dam, or over a controlled spillway. The storage capacity of Alcova Reservoir is 189,000 acre feet.
