A local history museum, the Riverton tells the story of homesteaders who founded the town in 1906. Housed in a charming brick building (the former Riverton Methodist Church), the museum offers colorful displays and self-guided tours. No admission fee is charged, but donations are always welcome. Museum is open 10-4, Tuesday through Saturday, throughout the year, and is closed for major holidays. An extensive research library provides access to published and primary source materials about local and Wyoming history.
