| St. Stephens mission was established in 1884 by a Jesuit missionary, and provided schooling for Arapaho children. Arapaho Chief Black Coal consented to its being built in 1888. The Center houses a museum which is open Mon.-Wed. and Friday, 9 a.m. -3:30 p.m. (closed 12-1 for lunch) and is open all year. |
