Cheyenne Railroad Depot
Capitol Ave. in Cheyenne (307) 778-3133

The beautiful old Union Pacific Railroad Depot on Capitol Avenue is one of the finest examples of architecture in the west. Built in 1886 of red and gray sandstone, the depot was at one time Wyoming Teritory’s largest building. The structure contains an elegant clock tower and romanesque arches. Look behind the depot at the enormous roundhouse still used to maintain locomotives.
