| Eastern Wyoming College was established in September 1948 as the Southeast University Center. It is located in the North Platte River Valley in the southeast Wyoming town of Torrington. After a reorganization in 1956 growth of the institution continued steadily. Today the college serves over 1600 students in credit courses and over 8000 students in noncredit activities. The college sponsors outreach programs in Converse, Crook, Niobrara, Platte, and Weston counties. Eastern Wyoming College is a student-centered, comprehensive public community college committed to providing accessible, post-secondary education for its students. Students are from 19 states and 3 foreign countries. |
