| This Boxcar is just one of forty-nine presented to each of the forty-eight states and one to Washington D.C. and Hawaii in 1949.
The Train was an expression of thanks from the citizens of France to the people of the United States for aid rendered during and after World War II. This boxcar was laden with gifts which were distributed throughout the State of Wyoming.
This Boxcar is both a rarity and a remembrance to the Gallant Men and Women who served. The cars were built between 1872 and 1885 and ferried troops, horses, and equipment during both World Wars.
